Congress Celebrates 133rd Foundation Day | KNO

Srinagar Dec 28 (KNO) : Congress today celebrated it’s 133rd Foundation Day at Srinagar Party Headquarters where Senior Party Leaders and workers addressed the meeting and highlighted the role of Congress Party in Nation Building. Congress also remembered the Party Founders on this occasion and praised them for the services they have rendered to Nation. Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) held a meeting of Party Functionaries to commemorate the Foundation Day, which was presided over by JKPCC Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, who urged upon the Party workers to remain steadfast to serve the people to the best of their ability, saying that Congress has the legacy of serving the Nation and working for upliftment of people without discriminating with any section of the Country. He said Congress Party is a history of sacrifices and services to the Nation, no one can deny that it was the Congress Party alone which has contributed immensely to Nation Building, besides uplifting poor and down trodden sections of the country irrespective of caste, colour or religion, He termed the Congress Party as all-weather friend of the people. Lashing out at BJP for raising senseless slogan as Congress Mukht Bharat, Congress Vice President censured BJP RSS for hiding their failures and wrong policies under the garb of the slogan, which shows how desperate and apprehensive BJP RSS are about their future which is certainly very bleak due to the anti-people policies adopted by them. He also blamed them (BJP RSS) for playing politics of deceit to get benefitted politically. Adding that BJP RSS is playing with the emotions of the people for electoral gains Congress Vice President said that Congress Party is capable enough to defeat their designs BJP RSS dividing people on religious and regional times to serve their dirty political ends, Congress Party will ensure “BJP Mukht Bharat”, he added. Congress Vice President urged upon the Party Cadres to remain steadfast in service of the people, as that Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people. Those who addressed the gathering included General Secretary Shmeema Iqbal. IYC Secretary Abid Kashmir, Secretary Irfan Naqib, Shameema Raina, Nissar Ahmad Khan, Imtiyaz Khan, Hamid Gurezi, Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, Dr. Fayaz , Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Sajad Ahmad Dar, Maroof Ahmad Wani, Irfan Ahmad Bhat, Shameema Sopori, Raja, Rafiqa, Jasbir Kaur, Shameema Khan, and others. Similar function was organized at Lolab in District Kupwara, which was presided over by District President Haji Farooq Mir. While addressing the gathering of Party workers Haji Farooq Mir described the Congress Party as a hope to the people in the entire Country, as that, It is the Congress party alone which has served t and will continue to serve them with indulging in any kind of discrimination.(KNO)
